Case Western Reserve University directed RFA to provide renovation and addition services to the existing H.G. Wood building School of Medicine. The directive was for a complete reorganization of the existing laboratories dealing with Biochemistry and related courses, accommodate new collegial spaces for graduate and doctoral students, and the addition of a new administrative center that would become the focal point of the facility. A new state of the art NMR Facility approximately 6,000 SF will accommodate 800,600,500 MHZ Magnets. The plan is unique and provides an ideal space for research. The 48,000 SF, 7-story, glass enclosed addition adds a unique characteristic to the overall context and renovation. A very efficient plan, netting 92% efficiency, reflects the budgetary constraints of the university which was addressed during the program phasing of the project.
