The space is 75 feet wide and 300 feet long. The goal was to create a gallery for traveling exhibitions while providing an exhibition area for regional and contemporary art, a museum shop, educational center, audio-visual center, and ancillary facilities. A 100 interior glass wall creates a visual corridor to the main gallery and makes the museum shop and local gallery visually accessible. The juxtaposition of the spaces complements the ridged geometrical spacing of the mushroom-shaped columns.
